We have been blessed to have Dr. James Moore and Dr. Thornton take care of our animals over the past 12 years. This has included two Brussels Griffons and two black Labrador Retrievers. Highly recommend Thornton Animal Hospital for their integrity and knowledgeable staff!
After moving to the Auburn area, I had an emergency with my 2 yr old boxer, Brutus. He was having trouble breathing and everywhere I called insisted on almost $400! I happened across Thornton Animal Hospital by calling every Vet in the telephone book. I was so Blessed to have found them! The staff as well as the Doctor went above and way beyond with not only my boxer, but me too! Now that I have to get Brutus back into the Vet cause he's been hurt, I don't look through no more phone books for sure! Straight back to Thornton Animal Hospital today and from now on for Brutus and my other two Service Companions/Dogs! ! Besides, Brutus just LOVES THEM! :)
Dr Thornton & Dr Moore are definitely the vets I recommend. I am from the area, but moved to Tallahassee years ago. I STILL drive hours to Auburn/Opelika for anything major going on with my dog Halo. I trust them and they dont kill me on prices. They are significantly cheaper than our Tallahassee vet and seem to be more connected to their clients and their needs. They are both amazing vets and stand up guys. Your pets are in good hands here.
Staff is not attentive. My cat passed away Saturday and I brought her here to be cremated. The lady at the front just took my money and paper work. I stood there awkwardly bc she didn't even really speak to me. I finally had to ask her if that was it. I didn't receive a "doctors call" or any condolences.
