Great customer service for my 1st time shopping at Dick's, I'll be back for the kayak.

Large selection of clearance items and the store is very neat and clean. Items were easy to find throughout the store. Hard to keep track of the bow people, he was their one minute and disappeared the next.
I bought a Skeet Reese Shaky Head rod last week, when my reel arrived in the mail I noticed that one line guide was broken. My receipt had gone through the washer so I went in expecting a hassle.
I walked in with my child went straight back to shoes which the department had highly visible signs looked at the shoes and as the sales attendant finish his services with the prior customer he immediately came to us helped us with our options for cleats and even brought all the available colors and styles in my son's size to try on and pick from. Excellent customer service!!!
Just visited the Auburn Alabama store to make a return on a pair of flip flops that were incredibly uncomfortable. I bought them 48 hours ago, wore them for a few hours (off and on) and could not bare to keep them on. They were nearly $50, so I was not going to keep them. When I went to return them, the associate and the manager were incredibly rude. When I first approached the checkout counter, the associate took forever to get over there and barely acknowledged me. When the manager was called, he took a while to come to the register. At first, he said he wasn't supposed to return the item b/c they'd been worn (well, yeah, of course...that's how I knew they were uncomfortable). Then when I challenged that, he muttered something and walked off. Apparently what he muttered was an OK to return them. The rest of the exchange was equally unpleasant. I left feeling like I'd done something wrong. These guys were completely unprofessional and should have nothing to do with customer interaction. The associate's name was Raymond and the manager's name was Roy. I will never return to this store again. I will shop at Academy instead. In fact, my past few stops at various Dick's stores have been underwhelming. As a former employee of the company, I am sad to see the prices spike and the customer service go down the drain.
The manager was at the door and immediately took the rod, told me to go pick out a replacement and told the cashier to remove the anti-theft device. No questions asked.
Also Roger took a kayak down for me to try with my metal hips.
