This museum is absolutely packed full of stuff documenting everything from the town's history to odds, ranging from artifacts from the WWII PoW camp to tires produced by the local Michelan plant which made components for the space shuttle program. Definitely worth a visit if you're looking for something to do. Also, there is a working 1924 General Electric refrigerator in the back storeroom.

Lots of interesting artifacts and history

You can feel the history there!! It truly is a hidden gem in downtown opelika!!!

Do you want to see an old cotton loom from west point stevens? They've got one! Great grandparent, grandchild hour to spend before a nice lunch in downtown. Definately worth a walk through.

Great historic part of opelika
