We always go here for good shopping. A large selection of Asian foods and a good produce section. Also has a restaurant on premises. This store is similar in size to many of the large grocery stores.
The store itself doesn't look like it is kept well or cleaned often. A lot of the food is very overpriced compared to places like Walmart or World Market. You can find exotic oriental spices and ingredients here but that is the only good thing about this place.
I go there JUST because there is no other choice around this town. Sometimes some of products are about to expired or already expired. When I go there and lucky, I can see most of products are newly stocked recently but usually the expiration date is close and I'm not talking about fresh foods. I'm talking about some of instant foods such as ramen or frozen dishes. Ever since I purchased expired snacks (chips and cracker) and frozen food, I always check how many weeks left not months ONLY from this Asian Market. It would be really great place if they manage their stocks better than now.
The Asian supermarket is the best place ever. If you ever need specific ingredients for oriental recipes or are looking to branch out some go here. They've got great prices and have awesome produce. I love this place.
This is the quintessential Asian supermarket! Everything that you would want to prepare most any Asian dish you can think of, the finest selection of fresh fish along the back wall, fresh exotic and local vegetables and fruits, a wide array of other ethnic foods including Indian and Mexican. It's worth it just to go in and spend an hour going up and down the aisles exploring. And let's not forget that they have the best selection of spices in the city of Auburn.
I've been here about 2 times within the past few weeks and have had the exact same experience.
The same cashier we had both times seems to have a strong hatred for me and my girlfriend whenever we come. We smile and say hello yet she hatefully glares at us and barely speaks at all. She even "scanned" one of our cards for payment on a terminal that was DEACTIVATED and said it wouldn't go through and that we had to pay differently. She never had ANY hospitality whatsoever, even when we were leaving we said thank you have a good evening and she just glared.I certainly will NOT be shopping here any more. I'll take my business elsewhere, save money, and get some southern hospitality. They obviously have never heard of it before.
To top it all off, one of the Premier Chinese restaurants in town! A full menu of exotic dishes, soups, noodles, and wonderful portions.
