Jonathan came by to help with a plumbing issue. He was very professional and thankfully I didn't have a problem. I signed up for the monthly hvac and plumbing contract beginning mid August and look forward to doing business with your company. I especially liked your quick response and emails including a picture and name as to who was coming to my house for service.
Called for an emergency of a leaking kitchen faucet with a house full of people. The receptionist and dispatcher were excellent, however the plumber who came, Jonathan, said he couldn't help and that they would wait until Tuesday when they came for our plumbing inspection. The drip turned into a steady stream so we had to shut off the water to our kitchen sink and wash dishes in the bathroom sink. The fact that they didn't even try to help was unsatisfactory, they said we would just have to make due. I was very disappointed in the service. After speaking to the service manager, Dixie stood by really helping the customer and rectified the situation promptly. I would recommend Dixie to others.
Despite all the good reviews, I did not have a pleasant experience with Dixie. I first scheduled an appointment and a CSR called to inform me that my technician could arrive earlier than expected. I said no thanks and they said he would meet me at a specific time at my home. I left work and was at my house at exactly that time. An hour later they had still not shown. Turns out the tech was sent to another appointment that directly conflicted with the time they were supposed to meet me. I reluctantly scheduled another appointment. The sole purpose of this was to simply get my hot water faucet fixed on my garden tub. The tech arrived fifteen minutes after the CSR said they would be there. No big deal. He was very polite and seemed to know what he was doing. He inspected (just looked) at the faucet and I explained to him the issue. He then asked me to look over the paperwork to determine a cost effective solution. I was already out $70 for him to just walk in the door. The price then shot to $190 for him to ONLY take the faucet apart. That did not include fixing it. Maybe I was naive in my expectations of plumber repair cost. In the end I opted to attempt to fix it myself and wasted two hours of my time for two appointments and $70 for the fee for him to drive out. I wish the company would have done an over the phone evaluation to let me know an estimated cost. We could have avoided the entire situation.
On the downside, I signed up for their maintenance program, which, don't get me wrong, is an excellent idea and plan, but they refuse to allow us to send the monthly payment. They want to be able to access our account instead of us being able to send the payment to them. I not sure what the deal is but they are adamant that you CAN'T set up your own payment to them with their address information. It seems very ridiculous given the amount of bank fraud, identity theft and scam artists around that they will not let you set up the payment to be cut every month to you. I was initially told we could do this then called back and said that I could not set this up. Yet, I was told over the phone that someone else was allowed to do this for the very reason I spoke of, which is to not ALLOW an outside entity to dip into our bank account once a month.
I had called two other companies for a small residential job(electrical) and they didn't have the courtesy to even return my call. When I called Dixie they scheduled the job right away. The morning it was scheduled they called and said they had a technician available early and was it ok if he came now? Craig took care of the job and was so polite. He took the time to tell me about all the other services Dixie offers as well. I was so impressed that I am considering signing up for a maintenance plan.
I wanted to give them 5 stars but because of this ludicrous policy on payment of the plan I give them 3 stars.
Dixie Electric, Plumbing and Air, did an excellent job on our home. We needed some electrical work done on our new home, vanity light in bathroom, kitchen light installed over the sink and a new outlet in our guest bed room. The electricians were very professional, they did an amazing job and cleaned up everything before leaving. I would highly recommend them for work.
