My husband and I have been to the Outback in Opelika twice in the last 6 months. The first time we arrived at around 4 p.m. on a Saturday afternoon the restaurant was practically empty, a few people having dinner, we were asked to wait. We waited for over 20 minutes. We left. The second time we were seated quickly but sat at the table for 20 minutes and never saw a server. We have always enjoyed the food when we were served, however these most recent visits have convinced us not to return.
My husband and I had a wonderful time when we got to the place it had a waiting line of about 15 people so we gave our name to hostess, then we asked if we could go to the bar for a drink,to our surprise we were able to have drinks and order at the bar. Drinks were really good and food was excellent. The service was great the the girls were very nice and even though it was packed they never forgot us, they came around asking us if there was anything else we needed. We left them a big tip.
Had a nice steak medium rare with mashed potatoes and vegetables. Was great and in a timely manner. Staff was nice and store is on the corner of the highway across from Golden Corral and the main 4 way at the crossing of 280 and Perry Parkway.
This honesty is the 1st time we have had a good experience with this chain of restaurants. We were seated right away our server was very nice and attentive. All 3 of us had the endless shrimp 2 were with steak 1 was the chicken. We honestly were presently shocked. Maybe it's was just the restaurants in Georgia that sucked. This one in Alabama was wonderful
Had lunch today with my grandmas and everything was delicious. One of my grandmas is very hard to please and the server was very accommodating.
